Before you cancel your old platform

A quick exit checklist.

Two things trip people up when they leave an incumbent: notice windows and export windows. Check your current contract early — the goal is to have your data safely in VISTA before your old access ends.

  • 1 Find your notice window. Some platforms need advance notice before a term ends and won't let you cancel a fixed term mid-cycle. For example, Mindbody's own guidance says fixed 12/24/36-month terms auto-renew and require at least 30 days' notice before the term ends (as of July 2026 — check your own agreement).
  • 2 Find your data-export window. Export access is often time-limited after you cancel — commonly around 30 days — and may carry a fee. Pull your full export before you cancel, not after.
  • 3 Get your images out too. Before-and-after photos and consent documents are sometimes excluded from a standard export. Confirm they're included, and grab them separately if they aren't.
  • 4 Line up the dates. We time your VISTA go-live so your history is imported and verified before your old subscription lapses — no gap, no scramble.
